DESCRIPTION

The acceleration cut control (ACC) system is used to improve engine operation by disengaging the A/C compressor when the throttle valve is at wide open throttle Wide Open Throttle (WOT).

OPERATION

When the Engine Control Module (ECM) senses that the throttle valve is at (WOT), via the throttle sensor, it opens the ground circuit to the A/C relay. This cuts voltage to the A/C clutch.
