2006 ALTIMA; DRIVER'S DOOR FINISHER SWITCH PLATE IS LOOSE

IF YOU CONFIRM
The driver's side door finisher switch plate is loose and will not stay in place.
ACTION
^ Replace the deformed/bent metal clip and screw on the finisher switch plate with the parts listed in the Parts Information table.
NOTE:
Do not replace the door finisher or switch plate for this issue, if it should occur.

PARTS INFORMATION
CLAIMS INFORMATION
(1) Reference the Parts Information Table and use the applicable Metal Clip P/N as the PFP.
(2) Reference the current Nissan Warranty Flat Rate Manual and use the indicated FRT.
Submit a Primary Failed Part (PP) line claim using the claims coding shown.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Carefully remove the finisher switch plate from the drivers side front door finisher.
2. Remove the metal clip and screw located on the finisher switch plate and replace it with the parts listed in the Parts Information table.
3. Install the finisher switch plate.
a. Insert the small end of the finisher switch plate as shown in Figure 4A.
b. First push down the larger end, then push the plate in with your thumb until it is firmly in place as shown in Figure 4B.
NOTE:
Do not force the plate in or use your fist to pound it in.
5. Gently pull up the finisher switch plate to make sure it is seated firmly in the door finisher and the incident has been resolved.
