DOOR ARMREST AND SUNROOF SERVICE INFORMATION

This bulletin amends NTB06-080. Applied Vehicle amended to add 2008 MY. Service Procedure regarding Armrest Removal and Installation amended. Please discard all previous copies of this bulletin.

APPLIED VEHICLE: 2007 - 2008 Altima (L32)

SERVICE INFORMATION

This bulletin contains product service information for the 2007-2008 Altima:

^ Front & Rear Door Armrest Removal.

CAUTION:
Follow these instructions to avoid trim damage during service.

^ Sunroof Initialization Procedure.

NOTE:
If the sunroof does not operate properly, and any of the following conditions have occurred, the sunroof should be initialized.

> Battery cable is disconnected.

> Sunroof motor is replaced.

> Sunroof anti pinch function is activated for more than 5 seconds continuously.

> Sunroof auto-open and auto-close function does not operate.

> Follow these instructions to avoid trim damage during service.





Location of Armrest Clips

Door Armrest Removal (front and rear)

^ If not removed properly, the door armrest clips may be damaged; making it hard to properly reinstall the part.

^ Please follow the removal and installation instructions in this bulletin when working with the door arm rests (front and rear).





1. Insert finesse stick and twist, gently lift up at rear to release outboard clips.





2. Gently lift up to release inboard clips, work rear to front.





3. Firmly push armrest outboard with knee or fist while gently lifting armrest straight up to release pull grip clips.

Door Armrest Installation (front and rear)





1. Press front inboard clip and datum clip into place, make sure to align front inboard clip to door.





2. Press out and down to seat inboard clips.





3. Press down to seat outboard clips.





4. Press down firmly to seat pull grip clips.

Sunroof Initialization Procedure

1. Fully close the sunroof. If necessary, press the Close switch several times until the roof is completely closed.

2. Press and hold the Close switch for 3 to 4 seconds.

3. Confirm the automatic operation of the sunroof works properly.
