2007-2008 ALTIMA / MAXIMA; RATTLE NOISE FROM FRONT SUSPENSION

APPLIED VEHICLES:
2007-2008 Altima (L32)
2007-2008 Altima Hybrid HEV (L32HV)
2008 Altima Coupe (CL32)
2007-2008 Maxima (A34)

APPLIED DATES:
Vehicles built between 7/16/07 to 9/29/07

IF YOU CONFIRM:

A rattle or clunk noise from the front suspension.

ACTION:

a) Loosen the Front Stabilizer Connecting Rod nuts.

b) Using a backup wrench and a torque wrench, retorque the nuts to 78.5 Nm (5.1 kg-m, 58 ft-lbs.).





NOTE:
The Stabilizer uses "pillow ball type" Connecting rod ends. Position the ball joint so the pillow ball head is parallel to the Stabilizer (see Figure 1).

c) Test drive the vehicle to confirm the noise at issue is resolved.
