The Door Open Warning Continues Displaying, Or Does Not Display

THE DOOR OPEN WARNING CONTINUES DISPLAYING, OR DOES NOT DISPLAY


Description

- The door ajar warning is displayed even though all of the doors and the trunk are closed.
- The door ajar warning is not displayed even though a door or the trunk is ajar.

Diagnosis Procedure

1.CHECK BCM INPUT SIGNAL
Connect CONSULT-III and check the BCM input signals. Refer to the following:
- Door switch - coupe: Coupe
- Door switch - sedan: Sedan With Intelligent Key
- Trunk lamp switch and trunk release solenoid - coupe: Coupe
- Trunk lamp switch and trunk release solenoid - sedan: Sedan With Intelligent Key
Is the Inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 2
NO >> GO TO 3
2.CHECK COMBINATION METER INPUT SIGNAL
1. Select "METER/M&A" on CONSULT-III.
2. Monitor "DOOR W/L" and "TRUNK/GLAS-H" of "DATA MONITOR" while opening and closing doors and trunk.





Is the Inspection result normal?
YES >> Replace combination meter. Refer to Removal and Replacement.
NO >> Replace BCM. Refer to Service and Repair.
3.CHECK DOOR SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT
Check the door switch signal circuit. Refer to the following:
- Coupe: Coupe
- Sedan: Sedan With Intelligent Key
Is the Inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 4
NO >> Repair harness or connector.
4.CHECK DOOR SWITCH UNIT
Perform a unit check for the door switch. Refer to the following:
- Coupe: Coupe
- Sedan: Sedan With Intelligent Key
Is the Inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 5
NO >> Replace door switch.
5.CHECK TRUNK LAMP SWITCH AND TRUNK RELEASE SOLENOID SIGNAL CIRCUIT
Check the trunk lamp switch and trunk release solenoid signal circuit. Refer to the following:
- Coupe: Coupe
- Sedan: Sedan With Intelligent Key
Is the Inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 6
NO >> Repair harness or connector.
6.CHECK TRUNK LAMP SWITCH AND TRUNK RELEASE SOLENOID UNIT
Perform a unit check for the trunk lamp switch and trunk release solenoid. Refer to the following:
- Coupe: Coupe
- Sedan: Sedan With Intelligent Key
Is the Inspection result normal?
YES >> Replace combination meter. Refer to Removal and Replacement.
NO >> Replace trunk lamp switch and trunk release solenoid.
