2009 CUBE OWNER'S MANUAL UPDATE

APPLIED VEHICLES: 2009 cube(R) (Z12) Check Service Comm to confirm campaign eligibility for dealer inventory vehicles.
INTRODUCTION
Nissan is conducting a Service Campaign mailing to correct a printing error in the Owner's Manual of some MY 2009 cube(R) vehicles. Customers will receive a letter and a correction label for the owner's manual text, along with instructions on how to affix it. For unsold vehicles, dealers will receive the same mailing.
IDENTIFICATION NUMBER
Nissan has assigned identification number P9223 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communications and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign.
DEALER RESPONSIBILITY
Dealers are to correct each vehicle in a dealer's inventory falling within the range of this campaign, and install the amended label in a customer's Owner's Manual upon a customer's request.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
NOTE:
^ Many customers will choose to install the correction label themselves.
^ If a customer requests, dealers are to install the correction label using this procedure.
1. Obtain the correction label from the customer.
^ A correction label is included with the Owner Letter that was sent to the customer.
^ If the customer has lost their label, a replacement label can be obtained from IMS, item # 09CUBEOM1-52.
2 Turn to page 1-52 in the Owner's Manual.
3. Locate the paragraph which begins with the words "The pretensioner system....".
4. Peel the correction label from the backing sheet and affix it over the paragraph which begins with the words "The pretensioner system....".
^ Make sure to cover the paragraph completely.
^ Do not cover the paragraph above or below the corrected paragraph.
