C1154 PNP SWITCH





Description
The park/neutral position switch signal is transmitted to the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) using the CAN communication lines.

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1. CHECK SELF-DIAGNOSIS RESULTS
Check the self-diagnosis results.





Is above displayed on the self-diagnosis display?
YES - Proceed to diagnosis procedure. Refer to "Diagnosis Procedure".
NO - Inspection End




Diagnosis Procedure
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1. CHECK DATA MONITOR
Select "SLCT LVR POSI" in "Data Monitor" and check Park/Neutral position switch signal.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Replace ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit). Refer to Removal And Installation.
NO - GO TO 2
2. CHECK PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION (PNP) SWITCH
Perform Park/Neutral position switch inspection. Refer to P0705.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Replace ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit). Refer to Removal And Installation.
NO - Repair or replace malfunctioning components.




Special Repair Requirement
1. ADJUSTMENT OF STEERING ANGLE SENSOR NEUTRAL POSITION
Always perform the neutral position adjustment for the steering angle sensor, when replacing the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit). Refer to Special Repair Requirement.
