IF YOU CONFIRM

The ambient (outside) temperature display shows a temperature higher or lower than the actual ambient temperature.





For information on normal operating conditions, refer to INFORMATION DISPLAY: System Description > OUTSIDE AIR TEMPERATURE INDICATION in the MWI section of the applicable ESM (Electronic Service Manual).

ACTIONS

Use the flow chart in this bulletin to help diagnose and identify the source/cause.

^ When using the diagnosis flow chart, refer to the COMBINATION METER wiring diagram in the MWI section of the applicable ESM.

^ If diagnosis results in replacement of one of the parts listed in the Parts Information section, follow the removal and installation instructions in the applicable section of the ESM.

^ If diagnosis results in harness repair, this bulletin does not apply. Use standard repair and warranty procedures as applicable.

NOTE:
Nissan ESMs for 2009-2010 Maxima vehicles will be updated with this new diagnosis information. Updated ESMs will be distributed to the field as quickly as possible. Until the updated ESMs are made available, do not use "The Ambient Temperature Display Is Incorrect" diagnosis information in the MWI section of the ESM. Instead, use the diagnosis information in this Bulletin.
