SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Move the front passenger seat to the full forward position.

^ Tilt the seatback to the full forward position.

2. Remove the passenger seat cushion outer finisher as follows:

a. While carefully pulling out on the center of the finisher, insert a suitable tool in the gap and then carefully pry between it and the inside finisher (see Figure 1).

b. Work your way around the back of the finisher, continuing to pull while pushing on each clip point. See Figure 2, and Figure 3 for clip point locations.

c. With the rear of the finisher unclipped, carefully pull more on the finisher to unfasten the four side clips. See Figure 3 for the four side clip locations.

NOTE:
The front clip is not unfastened at this time, even though Figure 3 shows it is.

d. To unfasten the front clip, grab and pull on the front inner edge of the finisher while prying between it and the frame it's clipped to (see Figure 4).

e. Carefully move the finisher out of the way to the front of the seat (picture not shown).

3. Pop the kit supplied stud through the hole at the rear of the Outboard (O/B) track from underneath, and then hold it in place (see Figure 5).

NOTE:
It may be easier to install and hold the stud with a strong magnet.

4. Position the bracket with the stud through its lower hole, and then install the kit supplied nut and Torx(R) bolt finger tight (see Figure 5).

NOTE:
Do not reuse the existing Torx(R) bolt.

5. Torque the bolt first, and then the nut. Figure 6 shows the bracket installed.

^ Torque the bolt first to 45-55 Nm (4.6-5.6 kgm, 33-41 ft lbs).

^ Torque the nut to 20.6-30.6 Nm (2.1-3.1 kgm, 15-23 ft lbs).

7. Reinstall the finisher in reverse order.

8. Verify repair results by road testing the vehicle.
