Description
Li-ion Battery ID Registration must be performed if the Li-ion battery controller or VCM is replaced.
DTC Logic
DTC DETECTION LOGIC
CAUTION:
This DTC may be detected when the Li-ion battery is replaced. If this DTC is detected, check that the
Li-ion battery is replaced by using the correct parts and method.
DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1. PRECONDITIONING
- Turn power switch OFF and wait at least 20 seconds.
- Make sure that 12V battery voltage is 11 V or more.
- GO TO 2.
2. PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
With CONSULT
1.Turn power switch OFF and wait at least 20 seconds.
2.Turn power switch ON and wait at least 5 seconds.
3.Check DTC.
Is DTC detected?
YES- Proceed to "Diagnosis Procedure" .
NO- INSPECTION END
Diagnosis Procedure
1. CHECK SELF-DIAGNOSTIC RESULT OF LI-ION BATTERY CONTROLLER
With CONSULT
1.Turn power switch ON.
2.Check self-diagnostic result of the "HV BAT".
Is any DTC detected?
YES- Check the DTC.
NO- GO TO 2.
2. LI-ION BATTERY VISUALLY CHECK
CAUTION:
This DTC may be detected when the Li-ion battery is replaced. If this DTC is detected, check that the
Li-ion battery is replaced by using the correct parts and method.
Visually check Li-ion battery for malfunction.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Perform Li-ion Battery ID Registration. Refer to "Li-ion Battery Registration Operation Manual".
NO- Replace Li-ion battery. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Service and Repair (without Li-ion battery heater), "Removal and Installation" Service and Repair (with Li-ion battery heater).
