DTC Logic


DTC DETECTION LOGIC

NOTE:
If DTC P31EE is displayed with DTC P0643, first perform the trouble diagnosis for DTC P0643. Refer to
"DTC Logic" P0643.






DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE


1. PRECONDITIONING

- Turn power switch OFF and wait at least 20 seconds.
- Make sure that 12V battery voltage is 11 V or more.
- GO TO 2.

2. PERFORM CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

With CONSULT
1.Turn power switch ON at least 20 seconds.
2.Check self-diagnostic result.
Is DTC detected?
YES- Proceed to "Diagnosis Procedure" .
NO- INSPECTION END


Diagnosis Procedure


1. CHECK REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR POWER SUPPLY-I

1.Turn power switch OFF.
2.Disconnect refrigerant pressure sensor harness connector.
3.Turn power switch ON.
4.Check the voltage between refrigerant pressure sensor harness connector terminals.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 7.
NO- GO TO 2.

2. CHECK REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR POWER SUPPLY-II

Check the voltage between refrigerant pressure sensor harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 4.
NO- GO TO 3.

3. CHECK REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

1.Turn power switch OFF.
2.Disconnect VCM harness connector.
3.Check the continuity between refrigerant pressure sensor and VCM harness connector.





4.Also check harness for short to ground and short to power.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Check power supply circuit for sensor power supply. Refer to "Diagnosis Procedure" P0643.
NO- Repair or replace error-detected parts.

4. CHECK REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT

1.Turn power switch OFF.
2.Disconnect VCM harness connector.
3.Check the continuity between refrigerant pressure sensor and VCM harness connector.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 5.
NO- Repair or replace error-detected parts.

5. CHECK VCM GROUND CIRCUIT

Check the continuity between VCM harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 6.
NO- Repair or replace error-detected parts.

6. CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

Check intermittent incident. Refer to "Intermittent Incident" Intermittent Incident.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Replace VCM. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Removal And Installation.
NO- Repair or replace error-detected parts.

7. REPLACE REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR

1.Replace refrigerant pressure sensor. Refer to "REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR : Removal and Installation" Removal And Installation.
2.Reconnect all harness connector disconnected.
3.Turn power switch ON and erase DTC.
4.Perform DTC confirmation procedure again. Refer to "DTC Logic" .
Is the DTC detected again?
YES- Replace VCM. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Removal And Installation.
NO- INSPECTION END
