DTC DETECTION LOGIC







DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE


1. PRECONDITIONING

- Turn power switch OFF and wait at least 20 seconds.
- Make sure that 12V battery voltage is 11 V or more.
- GO TO 2.

2. PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

With CONSULT
1.Turn power switch ON and wait at least 10 seconds.
2.Check DTC.
Is DTC detected?
YES- Proceed to "Diagnosis Procedure" .
NO- INSPECTION END


Diagnosis Procedure


1. CHECK DC/DC CONVERTER TEMPERATURE

With CONSULT
1.On the CONSULT screen, select "EV/HEV" - "DATA MONITOR" - "DC/DC CONV TEMP STATUS".
2.Check that "DC/DC CONV TEMP STATUS"indicates a value other than "7".
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Check intermittent incident. Refer to "Intermittent Incident" Intermittent Incident.
NO- GO TO 2.

2. CHECK VCM GROUND CIRCUIT

1.Turn power switch OFF.
2.Disconnect VCM harness connector.
3.Check the continuity between VCM harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 3.
NO- Repair or replace error-detected parts.

3. CHECK DC/DC CONVERTER TEMPERATURE SIGNAL CIRCUIT

1.Disconnect DC/DC junction box harness connector.
2.Check the continuity between VCM harness connector and DC/DC junction box harness connector.





3.Also check harness for short to ground and short to power.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 4.
NO- Repair or replace error-detected parts.

4. CHECK DC/DC JUNCTION BOX GROUND

1.Visually and tactually check DC/DC junction box negative terminal.
2.Disconnect DC/DC junction box negative terminal.
3.Check the continuity between DC/DC junction box negative terminal and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 5.
NO- Repair or replace error-detected parts.

5. CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

Check intermittent incident. Refer to "Intermittent Incident" Intermittent Incident.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Replace VCM. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Removal And Installation.
NO- Repair or replace error-detected parts.
