3-2.1 - Setting the Electric Parking Brake
1. Firmly apply the brake pedal.
2. Pull up on the electric parking brake switch.

WARNING:

If possible, immobilize the vehicle with the electrically operated parking brake before turning the 12V system OFF and stabilize it with a wheel chock(s). Stabilize the vehicle with wooden blocks, by removing air from the tires, or utilize the Lift Airbag Equipment for rescue.

In case of vehicle fire, contact the fire department immediately and extinguish the fire if possible. If you must walk away from the vehicle, notify an appropriate responder or a rescue person of the fact that the vehicle is an electric car and contains a high voltage system and warn all others.
