BCM

Removal and Installation

NOTE:
Before replacing BCM, perform "READ CONFIGURATION" to save or print current vehicle specification. Refer to "ADDITIONAL SERVICE WHEN REPLACING CONTROL UNIT (BCM) : Description" Description.

REMOVAL

1.Disconnect the 12V battery cable from the negative terminal. Refer to "Precaution for Removing 12V Battery" Precaution For Removing 12V Battery.
2.Remove instrument lower panel. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Removal And Installation.
3.Remove fuse block (J/B).
4.Remove harness clip.
5.Remove BCM mounting screws.
6.Remove BCM and disconnect the connectors.

INSTALLATION

Install in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:
Be sure to perform "WRITE CONFIGURATION" when replacing BCM. Op not doing so, BCM control function does not operate normally.
NOTE:
Be sure to perform the system initialization (NATS) when replacing BCM. Refer to "ADDITIONAL SERVICE WHEN REPLACING CONTROL UNIT (BCM) : Work Procedure" Work Procedure.
