APPLIED VEHICLE: 2013 Sentra (B17)

SERVICE INFORMATION

When replacing the wiper blades or refills, the wipers must be temporarily commanded to park half way through their sweep into their "Service Position" on the windshield.

IMPORTANT:
The wipers should never be lifted when they are not in their service positions since damage to the paint could result.

To command the wipers to park in their service position so that the wiper blades or refills can be accessed:

a. First turn the ignition ON and then OFF (cycle ignition).

b. Only after the ignition has been turned OFF, and within 1 minute, pull the windshield wiper and washer lever toward the driver one time and hold until the wipers start to move and then release (should start to move within 5 seconds).

> This will cause the wipers to operate and then park in their service position.

c. Service the wipers.

NOTE:
After wipers are serviced, confirm that they are resting on the windshield before performing the next step.

d. Once the wipers have been serviced, turn the ignition back ON, and while ON operate the windshield wiper and washer lever one more time to cancel the wipers service position mode.
