Test C: ECM Compressor Control Test

Test C ECM Compressor Control Test:

1. Reconnect the A/C Compressor Control Relay. Remove the connectors from the ECM and check the voltage to ground using a test lamp at the following terminals.

^ If both tests are correct, proceed to step 2.
^ If test lamp does not light at terminal D11, check for an open in the PPL wire (901).
^ If test lamp does not light at terminal B8, repair open in the LT BLU wire (67).

2. Connect terminal A2 of the BLK ECM connector to ground using a fused jumper.

^ If A/C Compressor Control Relay operates and turns on the compressor, the compressor control wiring is good. Refer to ECM diagnostics.
^ If the A/C Compressor Control Relay does not operate or the compressor does not turn on, replace the A/C Compressor Control Relay.
