Oil Charge

The DA-6 Compressor System requires 240 ml (8 fl oz) of 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.

Oil should be added to the A/C system after it is discharged and before it is evacuated. Remove the refrigeration suction hose at the accumulator outlet pipe connection. Pour the right amount of new refrigerant oil into the hose or pipe then reconnect the hose to the pipe.

NOTE: New oil quantities must be added to the system during component replacement as follows:

^ Compressor - Remove, drain oil, measure, replace same amount of new oil plus 30ml (1 fl oz).
^ Evaporator - Add 60ml (2 fl oz).
^ Condenser - Add 30ml (1 fl oz).
^ Accumulator - Remove, drain oil, measure, replace same amount of new oil as drained, plus 60 ml (3 fl oz) to compensate for that retained by the original accumulator desiccant. If no oil can be drained from old accumulator, add 60 ml (2 fl oz) new oil to the new accumulator.
