PERMANENT MAGNET DEPRESSED MOTOR
Check motor operation as follows before removing wiper assembly from car:
1. Disconnect wiring harness from wiper assembly.
2. Apply +12 volts to wiper connector pins as shown in Figure 1. If motor operates in LO, HI, PARK and PULSE, do wiper switch checks shown on Figures 2 and 3.
(Figure 4) Wiper Motor Inoperative:
3. If the wiper motor is inoperative, refer to Figure 4.
(Figure 5) Intermittent Wiper Operation:
4. If the wiper motor operation is intermittent in "PULSE", "LO" or "HI" modes, refer to Figure 5.
(Figure 5) Wiper Will Not Park:
5. If the wipers will not park, refer to Figure 6.
(Figure 7) Faulty Delay Mode:
6. If there is no delay, or continuous in delay (motor operates in "LO" and "HI" modes), refer to Figure 7.
(Figure 8) No Low Speed Mode:
7. If there is no "LO" speed mode, refer to Figure 8.
(Figure 9) No "HI" Mode:
8. If there is no "HI" speed mode or blades cycle in and out of park with switch in "HI", refer to Figure 9.
