- Engine warm and running at idle.
- Temperature outside car at 60°F (16°C) or higher.
- Do the tests in the sequence shown.
- For diagnosis of other results not in the System Check Table, refer to Testing and Inspection under the appropriate system / component.

NOTES:
1. If the vehicle engine was recently running, a purge delay of approximately 15 seconds may be encountered before a selected mode is activated. This delay is normal and is designed to prevent fogging of the windshield.

2. In order to prevent windshield frosting during cold start up and cool outside temperatures, the system will delay selected mode of operation until engine coolant reaches 49°C (120°F) or four minutes have elapsed (except when defrost is selected).
