The diagnostic test information in the 1988. 1989 and 1990 Cutlass Supreme Service Manuals Section 8A- 33 has been revised. Please make the following corrections in your copies of the following Service Manuals.

1988 OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS SUPREME

Page 8A-33-2

Delete Test "B: ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE OUTPUT TEST (TABLE 1)"
and
Delete Test "B: ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE OUTPUT TEST (TABLE 2)"

Page 8A-33-3

Delete Test "B: ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE OUTPUT TEST (TABLE 3)"

Insert the attached new test B, Page 8A-33-2A.

1989 and 1990 OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS SUPREME

Page 8A-33-2 Delete the second Symptom in the Symptom Table, which reads:

"Speedometer and all other speed related functions do not operate properly, ECM Code 24 is not set." and replace it with:

"Speedometer and/or Cruise Control, Driver Information Center, Automatic Safety Belt, or Turn Signal Reminder speed signal related feature(s) do not work, but ECM Code 24 is not set."

Delete Test "B: ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE OUTPUT TEST (TABLE 1)"
