Instrument Cluster / Carrier: Service and Repair
1. Remove body ignition fuse No. 14.
2. Remove left hush panel, lower steering column cover, insulator at toe plate, and the lower steering column mounting screws.
3. Remove nuts securing upper steering column bracket to instrument panel, then carefully lower column. Disconnect shift indicator cable and electrical connectors, as needed, prior to lowering column. Do not force column down as it may be damaged.
4. Remove screws securing instrument cluster bezel, then pull bezel away from instrument panel to disengage retaining clips.
5. Disconnect electrical connectors and remove cluster bezel.
6. Remove screws securing instrument cluster, then pull cluster straight out of dash.
7. Reverse procedure to install, ensuring electrical connector pins are properly aligned when cluster is pressed into instrument panel.
