Clearing Codes

1. Enter diagnostic service mode as outlined previously.
2. On models less CRT, follow steps 1A and 1B under DIAGNOSTIC TEST PROCEDURES. On models with CRT, follow steps 2A and 2B under DIAGNOSTIC TEST PROCEDURES.
3. On models less CRT, on 1989 models, depress Lo fan button (secondary display) until ``clear codes'' is displayed, then depress Hi fan button (secondary display). On 1990 models, depress fan down until ``clear codes'' is displayed, then depress fan up button. On all models, this will start the erasing process.
4. On models with CRT, depress No button on secondary display, until ``clear codes'' is displayed, then depress Yes button on secondary display. This will start the erasing process.
5. On all models, the ``clear codes'' message will will end after 3 seconds, indicating that all stored trouble codes have been erased from that system's memory. After 3 seconds the display will automatically return to the next available test type for the selected system.
