Snapshot Mode

DESCRIPTION:

Snapshot is a test type that will record all BCM data and inputs at one instant for review at a later time.

Selection of "SNAPSHOT?" test type while in the BCM system level will allow the recall of up to three snapshots recorded at the time of the setting of BCM malfunction codes. Additionally, one may trigger the recording of a snapshot upon demand (by pushing the "FAN UP" button with "TAKE BCM SNAPSHOT?" displayed). Selecting Snapshot while in the BCM system, will result in the display of "CODE BXXX SNAPSHOT" where "XXX" is the 3 digit diagnostic code that recorded the snapshot. While selecting snapshot, any of the following actions may be taken to control the display:

1. Depressing the "LEVL" softkey on the CRT will stop the test type selection process and return the display to the next available system selection.

2. Depressing the "NO" softkey on the CRT will allow the scrolling through the list of diagnostic codes that the BCM has stored a snapshot for. After the last diagnostic code, (or the third if there are more than three codes set) pressing the "NO" softkey will result in the "TAKE BCM SNAPSHOT?" display. Responding "NO" will return to the first "BXXX SNAP?" display.

3. Depressing the "YES" softkey with "SNAP DATA?" or "SNAP INPUTS?" displayed will select that test type. At this point the display is controlled as it would be for non-snapshot data and input displays, however, all values and status information represents memorized vehicle conditions.

4. Depressing the "YES" button with "TAKE BCM SNAPSHOT?" displayed will again display the "SNAP DONE" message to indicate that new information has been stored in memory. Access to this information ids obtained the same as previously described.

NOTE: All Snapshot on codeset information is lost when the code is cleared.
