CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

The sun load sensor (4) is a reverse bias photodiode which measures sun load. In "AUTO" the sun load sensor (4) is an input to control air delivery.

TEST DESCRIPTION

The following numbers refer to circled numbers on the diagnostic chart.

1. This test will determine if a 5-volt reference voltage is available to the sensor. If not, an open a short in CKT 590 or the microprocessor (15) is at fault.

2. This test will determine if the sensor ground circuit is open with Code 07. If Code 08 is present, a shorted sun load sensor (4) or a 5-volt short to CKT 590 is present.
