- INSTALL NEW LOCK ROD CLIP

CONDITION:
Front door lock rod rattles.

CORRECTION:
Using kit P/N 10222731 (currently available from GMSPO) and the procedure below, install new style lock rod anti-rattle clip. Each kit contains one clip.

1. Remove the door trim pad and water deflector.

2. While holding the clip with the notched end away from you (See View A), insert the notched end into the lock module first (See View B). Insert the other end and rotate 90 degrees making sure that the reinforced area of the clip faces downward (See View C).

Notice:
Failure to orient the lock rod clip properly may cause the lock rods to operate improperly.

3. Check for proper operation of the lock rods and reinstall the water deflector and trim pad.
