PARTS INFORMATION

To ensure that the parts your dealership may require are obtained as soon as possible, order them from GM Service Parts Operations (GMSPO) on a C.I.O. order, with NO special instruction code, but order on an advise code (2). Use the following part numbers:


NOTICE:
Both a Reinforcement Kit and a guide loop cover kit normally need to be ordered for each vehicle.

Each of the following guide loop cover kits contains 2 front & 2 rear Guide Loop Covers:

Guide Kit, Shldr Belt 10225870 Sapphire (blue) B 1, as req'd
Guide Kit, Shldr Belt 10225872 Light Camel C 1, as req'd


The VIN list sent to dealers with involved vehicles indicates by codes the Guide Loop colors of involved vehicles; please order parts accordingly.


Order Retractor Assemblies only when required as a result of inspecting specific vehicles involved in this campaign. Do not use Retractor Assemblies "off-the-shelve" that do not match the latest part numbers specified by GMSPO.

GMSPO will provide instructions at a later date for the return of obsolete service safety belt retractor assemblies.


SPECIAL TOOL

Each dealer was shipped a special tool, J 39555 (Shoulder Belt Guide Loop Cutter), from Kent-Moore, the week of July 6, 1992. The tool is furnished at no charge to the dealer. Each package will be identified by a orange label with black letters, that lists the tool number and Oldsmobile campaign number 91-C-09. Additional tools, if required, may be ordered from Kent-Moore and will be charged to the dealers open account. Fleet Warranty Stations may obtain information on how to purchase tools from Kent-Moore by calling 1-800-345-2233 and asking for the "order desk".
