Troubleshooting Hints - Blower Controls
^ Try the following checks before doing the System diagnosis.1. Check I/P Fuse Block Fuses 11 and 18 by visual inspection.
2. Check RH Underhood Fuse Block Fuse 3 by visual inspection.
3. Check that Blower Motor connectors and Blower Control Module connectors are mated correctly and firmly seated.
4. If the Steering Wheel Controls do not operate the Radio or the Heater And A/C Controls, refer to Steering Wheel Controls. Steering
5. If the Steering Wheel Controls operate the Radio, but do not operate the Heater And A/C Controls, refer to Air Conditioning: Air Delivery/Temperature Control. Troubleshooting Hints - Air Delivery & Temperature Controls
6. If Blower runs with ignition Switch OFF, check PPL (65) wire, ORN (761) wire and Relay Center Fuse 2 for a short to battery. If OK, replace Blower Control Module.
7. If ext. temperature or set temperature flashes for first two minutes of operation, refer to Air Conditioning: Air Delivery/Temperature Control. Troubleshooting Hints - Air Delivery & Temperature Controls
8. (U.S. vehicles only) If external or set temperature is displayed in degrees Celsius when Ignition Switch is turned to RUN, check HVAC Programmer terminal for a BLK wire. If one is present, cut it, tape the end to pre vent shorts and tape the wire back to the wiring harness.
