Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview
1. Check I/P Fuse Block Fuses 11, 21 and 24.2. Check that the Antenna connector and the Antenna Coaxial Cable are properly connected.
3. Before troubleshooting a suspect speaker, check all connections to that speaker.
4. For proper noise diagnosis, take the vehicle outside where signals are strong. Close the hood, and keep away from metal buildings or other sources of radio interference.
5. Ignition noise on FM may indicate a defective Ignition System.
6. Coated screws or bolts can cause a poor ground condition. Scrape ground screw clean of any paint or varnish.
7. If Radio does not operate for 10 minutes after Ignition Switch is turned to OFF, see RETAINED ACCESSORY POWER (if equipped).
8. If Radio operates properly except from Steering Wheel Controls, see STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS for diagnosis.
