Input Test: BI02 (Park Light Switch)

Park Light Switch Wiring:






PROPER BI02 DIAGNOSTIC DISPLAYS

- HI is displayed with Park Light Switch on.

- LO is displayed with Park Light Switch off.


TESTS FOR IMPROPER DISPLAYS

BIO2 displays LO with Park Light Switch on


1. Do Park Lights operate?
^ If Park Lights do not operate, go to step 2.
^ If Park Lights operate, go to step 4.

2. Check Fuse 10.
^ If Fuse is OK, got to step 3.

3. Remove Left Switch Assembly and check harness connector terminal C5 with a test lamp to ground.
^ If test lamp lights, go to step 4.
^ If test lamp does not light, repair ORN (240) wire for an open or short to ground.

4. Connect Left Switch Assembly harness connector terminal C5 to C3 with a fused jumper.
^ If display reads HI, and connections are good, replace Left Switch Assembly.
^ If display reads LO, go to step 5.

5. Reconnect the Left Switch Assembly. Connect a test lamp at terminal 3D12 of the Body Computer Module (BCM) and ground. Turn the Park Lights on.
^ If test lamp lights, check for good terminal contact at BCM terminal 3D12.
^ If terminal contact is good, replace Body Computer Module (BCM).
^ If test lamp does not light, check/repair GRY/BLK (308) wire for an open.

BI02 displays HI with Park Light Switch off

1. Remove Left Switch Assembly.
^ If display reads HI, go to step 2.
^ If display reads LO, replace Left Switch Assembly.

2. Backprobe terminal 3D12 of the Body Computer Module (BCM) to ground with a voltmeter.
^ If battery voltage is present, check/repair GRY/BLK (308) wire for a short to Battery.
^ If battery voltage is not present, check terminal 3D12 of the Body Computer Module (BCM) for a good clean connection. If connection is good, replace Body Computer Module (BCM).
