- LO is displayed with either door or both doors open.
TESTS FOR IMPROPER DISPLAYS
BI05 displays HI with both doors open
^ If display reads HI with both doors open, backprobe Body Computer Module (BCM) terminal 1C16 to ground with a fused jumper.
^ If display reads LO, check/repair WHT (156) wire for an open between splice S307 and Body Computer Module (BCM).
^ If display reads HI, check for good terminal contact at Body Computer Module (BCM). Replace Body Computer Module if terminal contact is good.
BIO5 displays HI with one door open
1. If display reads HI with one door open and other door closed, disconnect suspect Door Jamb Switch connector. Connect a fused jumper between terminal C and terminal B.
^ If display reads HI, go to step 2.
^ If display reads LO, replace suspect Door Jamb Switch.
2. Leave the fused jumper from the previous step connected to terminal C. Connect the other end of the fused jumper to ground.
^ If display reads HI, check/repair WHT (156) wire for an open between splice S307 and suspect switch.
^ If display reads LO, check/repair BLK/WHT (803) wire for an open between splice S323 and suspect switch.
BIO5 displays LO with both doors completely closed.
1. Disconnect LH Door Jamb Switch connector. Close both doors.
^ If display reads LO, go to step 2.
^ If display reads HI, replace the LH Door Jamb SwItch.
2. Disconnect RH Door Jamb Switch connector. Close both doors.
^ If display reads LO, Check for a short to ground in the 156 wires. If no short to ground is found replace Body Computer Module (BCM).
^ If display reads HI, replace the RH Door Jamb Switch.
