Input Test: BI24 (Fog Light Switch)

Fog Light Switch Wiring:

PROPER BI24 DIAGNOSTIC DISPLAYS

- HI is displayed with Fog Light Switch off.

- LO is displayed with Fog Light Switch pressed on.


TESTS FOR IMPROPER DISPLAYS

BI24 displays HI with Fog Light Switch pressed on.

1. Disconnect the Left Switch Assembly and connect a fused jumper between harness connector terminals B10 and B7.
^ If display reads HI, go to step 2.
^ If display reads LO, check terminal contact. If OK, replace Left Switch Assembly.

2. Connect a fused jumper between Left Switch Assembly harness connector terminal B10 and ground.
^ If display reads HI, go to step 3.
^ If display reads LO, repair BLK (804) wire for an open.

3. Connect a fused jumper to ground and back-probe Body Computer Module (BCM) harness connector terminal 3C15.
^ If display reads HI and terminal contact is good, replace Body Computer Module (BCM).
^ If display reads LO, repair PPL (13) wire for an open.

B124 displays LO with Fog Light Switch off.

Disconnect the Left Switch Assembly.
^ If display reads HI, replace the Left Switch Assembly.
^ If display reads LO, check PPL (13) wire for a short to ground. If wire is OK, replace Body Computer Module (BCM).
