^ Check on-board or scan tool diagnostics for any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) present. If DTCs are present, see Symptom Table T. Table T: Air Deliver & Temperature Controls
^ Engine: RUNNING
^ Air Delivery Mode: DUAL ZONE - AUTO
^ Set temperature: 32°C (90°F)
^ Press and hold COOL button on Passenger Climate Control Assembly until all blue temperature offset bars light.
1. If using on-board diagnostics, enter ECC Data List.
If using scan tool diagnostics, enter DATA LIST.
^ Observe driver and passenger actual air mix valve position.
^ Passenger air mix valve position should be higher than driver air mix valve position.
2. Feel air flow to driver's side, then feel air flow to passenger's side.
^ Passenger's side air flow should be significantly cooler than driver's side (up to 17°C (30°F) lower).
^ Set temperature: 18°C (60°F)
^ Press and hold WARM button on Passenger Climate Control Assembly until all red temperature offset bars light.
3. If using on-board diagnostics, enter ECC Data List.
If using scan tool diagnostics, enter DATA LIST.
^ Observe driver and passenger actual air mix valve position.
^ Passenger air mix valve position should be lower than driver air mix valve position.
4. Feel air flow to driver's side, then feel air flow to passenger's side.
^ Passenger's side air flow should be significantly warmer than driver's side. If not, check passenger air mix valve adjustment. If adjustment is OK, continue.
5. ^ Engine: OFF
^ Passenger Air Mix Valve Actuator Connector: DISCONNECTED
^ Ignition Switch: RUN
^ Set temperature: 18°C (60°F)
Note: Disconnecting Passenger Air Mix Valve Actuator Connector will set DTC 41.
6. While adjusting temperature control toward HOT, test light lights. If not, replace HVAC Programmer.
7. While adjusting temperature control toward COLD, test light lights. If not, replace HVAC Programmer.
^ If all checks and measurements are correct, check Passenger Air Mix Valve for binding; check Passenger Air Mix Valve Actuator Connector for proper terminal contact. If both OK, replace Passenger Air Mix Valve Actuator.
