Instrument Cluster / Carrier: Service and Repair

NOTE: On Air Bag Equipped Models, Refer To Air Bag System Precautions for System Disarming & Arming Procedures.

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove steering wheel as outlined under Steering Wheel, Replace.
3. Remove steering column covers.
4. Remove instrument cluster trim plate eight attaching screws, Fig.13 .
5. Pull trim plate rearward to disconnect electrical connectors, then remove plate.
6. Remove instrument cluster four attaching screws, them remove cluster.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Torque instrument cluster trim plate attaching screws to 17 inch lbs.
