SUBJECT:
ENGINE EXCHANGE PROGRAM FOR 3100 MFI V6 ENGINE (RPO L82)

MODELS:
1993 OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS SUPREME
1994 BUICK CENTURY, SKYLARK AND REGAL
1994 CHEVROLET BERETTA/CORSICA
1994 OLDSMOBILE ACHIEVA, CUTLASS CIERA, AND CUTLASS SUPREME
1994 PONTIAC GRAND AM AND GRAND PRIX

This bulletin is being revised to include the 1994 model year, add A, L, N models, and change the parts allowance amount. Previous divisional publication numbers were:

To obtain early product feedback on the new 3100 V6 SFI RPO L82 engine, an exchange program has been approved. This program includes the interim 1993 Oldsmobile W-Car and 1994 A, L, N and W vehicles. To participate in this exchange program, follow the guidelines in this bulletin. This program is in effect through September 1, 1994.

This exchange program will be administered by the Technical Assistance Network (TAN)/Technical Assistance Center (TAC)/Technical Assistance Services (TAS).

The following explains the requirements regarding serviceable and non-serviceable items, warranty claims processing procedures and shipping instructions.

This information should be filed in the "Special Exchange Policy Procedures" manual.

If your dealership has a request for this engine, follow the procedure listed below.

If any internal components require replacement, the engine must be exchanged.
