Exterior Lamps

PARK, MARKER, TAIL AND LICENSE LIGHTS
Voltage is applied at all times from the PARK LPS Fuse to the Headlight Switch from CKT 1340. With the Headlight Switch in "PARK" or "HEAD," voltage is applied to CKT 9. Current flows through CKT 9, to all Park, Side Marker, Tail and License Lights turning them "ON." The only lights that receive current from CKT 9 and do not turn "ON" are the turn filaments in the Park/Turn Lights. They do not turn "ON" because the voltage drop across the Front Side Marker Lights is much greater than that across the Turn Light Filaments.

TURN LIGHTS
With the Ignition Switch in "RUN BULB TEST" or "START," voltage is applied from the T/SIG Fuse and the Turn Flasher to the normally closed pole of the Hazard Switch in the Turn/Hazard Switch Assembly.

With the Turn Switch in the Turn Left position, voltage is applied from the Turn Switch to CKT 14 at terminal "A2" of connector C202 and to CKT 18 at terminal "A4" of C202. LH Front Turn, Rear Turn and Indicator Lights flash "ON" and "OFF" as current flow heats the timing element in the Turn Flasher, and it continuously opens and closes the circuit (for RH Turn Lights, CKT 15 terminal "A3" of C202 and CKT 19 terminal "AS" of C202).

With Park Lights "ON" and Turn Lights "ON," voltage is applied to both terminals of the Front Side Marker Lamp causing it to be "OFF." When the Front Turn Lamp is "OFF," voltage is applied to only one terminal of the Marker Lamp, causing it to flash "ON." The Turn Lamp and the Marker Lamp continue to flash "ON" and "OFF" out of sequence until the Turn Switch is turned "OFF."

HAZARD LIGHTS
Voltage is applied at all times from the STOP Fuse and the Hazard Flasher to the normally open poles of the hazard Switch in the Turn/Hazard Switch Assembly. With the Hazard Switch in "HAZARD," voltage is applied to the Turn/Stop Lights. All of the Turn/Stop Lights and both Turn Indicators flash "ON" and "OFF."

STOP LIGHTS
Voltage is applied at all times from the STOP Fuse to the Brake Switch. When the brake pedal is depressed, voltage is applied from the TCC/Brake Switch and Turn/Hazard Switch to CKT 17 turning "ON" the LH and RH Tail/Turn/Stop Lights.

When the brake pedal is depressed, voltage is also applied from the Brake Switch to CKT 17 and the Center High Mounted Stop Light, turning "ON" the Center High Mounted Stop Light. The Center High Mounted Stop Light is not affected by the Turn/Hazard Switch Assembly.
