Troubleshooting Hints

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. Check wiper fuse.
2. Check for bent or corroded system connectors and terminals.
3. If wipers cycle in and out of park position in "HI" and do not operate in "LO", "MIST" or "DELAY", check circuit 196 for an open.
4. If wipers work in "LO" but not in "MIST", check for poor connection. If O/K, replace wiper/washer switch assembly.
5. If wiper motor assembly runs but wiper blades do not move, check wiper transmission at wiper motor crank arm.
6. If Washer does not operate, check that:
^ Washer pump connector is correctly mated.
- Washer Reservoir is filled.
- Hoses are correctly attached.
- Hoses are not cut, kinked or pinched.
- Nozzles are not clogged.
