Troubleshooting Hints

Try the following checks before doing the system diagnosis.

1. Check I/P fuse block fuse 1D.

2. Check relay center fuse 2 and circuit breaker 1.

3. If another transmitter is available, try it. If it works, change batteries in the first transmitter and try it again. If it still doesn't work, it is defective.

4. Check transmitter battery terminals. They should be clean and make good contact with battery.

5. If in doubt as to transmitter battery condition, replace with a new one. Checking battery voltage with a DVOM may give false results.
