Unlocking Radio After Power Loss
UNLOCKINGTo unlock the unit after a battery voltage interruption, restore battery voltage, and enter the same six digit code which has been previously set by the user. Again, each step must be completed with in 15 seconds of the previous step. The following example shows how to unlock the unit when the previously set code is "123456":
1. Turn the ignition lock cylinder to the "RUN" or "ACCESSORY" position.
2. Press the "SET" button "000" will appear on the display.
3. Recall the first digit of the code by pressing the "SEEK" button until the correct digit appears "100".
4. Set the second and third digits by rotating the "Tune" knob until the desired digits appear "123."
5. Press the "TUNE" button to enter the last three digits into memory. "000" will appear on the display.
6. Set the fourth digit of the code by pressing the "SEEK" button until the desired digit appears.
7. Set the fifth and sixth digits by again rotating the "Tune" knob until the desired digits appear "456".
8. Press the "Tune" button and "-" time appears indicating the unlock and was successful. If "SEC" appears, the numbers did not match and the unit is still secured.
If the incorrect user code is entered, the radio/CD player will remain locked. After eight incorrect attempts have been made to unlock the radio, no more unlock codes may be tried for one hour. After one hour, three attempts per hour are permitted.
In those cases where the user's code is lost or forgotten, contact your local dealer or an authorized Delco radio service center.
