Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Throttle Body:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Throttle Position (TP) sensor electrical connector
2. Two TP sensor attaching screws.
3. TP sensor.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. With the throttle valve in the normally closed idle position, install throttle position sensor on the throttle body assembly, making sure the lever lines up with the TP lever on the throttle shaft.
2. Install two TP sensor screws and tighten to 2.0 N-m (18.0 in lbs)
3. Two TP sensor attaching screws.

Tighten
TP sensor attaching screws to 2 Nm (18 lb. in.)

4. Electrical connector.
