Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Service and Repair

MAP Sensor Service:

The MAP sensor is mounted to the Throttle body adapter.

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the MAP sensor electrical connector.
2. Remove the retaining bolt and bracket assembly.
3. Remove the MAP sensor from the throttle body adapter.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Inspect the MAP sensor for a missing or damaged O-ring seal. If a problem is found, replace as necessary.

1. Install the MAP sensor to the throttle body adapter.
2. Install the retaining bracket and bolt assembly.

Tighten
Bolt to 8 Nm (70 lb in).
