Air Duct: Service and Repair

AIR DISTRIBUTOR ASSEMBLY

Air Distributor Assembly:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

^ Disable Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system.

1. Windshield defroster grill.
2. Twilight sentinel photo cell.
3. Air temperature sensor.
4. Air outlet deflectors (pry out).
5. Left and right center trim plates.
6. Steering column filler plate.
7. Instrument Panel (IP) compartment tray (pull out).
8. PRNDL cable from steering column. One clip.
9. Park brake release cable from pedal assembly.
10. IP outer support bracket blots. Six 10 mm bolts.
11. Lower steering column. Two 13 mm bolts.
12. IP center support bracket bolts. Six 10 mm bolts.
13. Upper IP screws. Four 7 mm screws.
14. Aspirator hose, Antenna lead-in, four electrical connections.
15. IP assembly.
16. Center air distributor. Two 10 mm bolts, one 10 mm nut.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Center air distributor. Two 10 mm bolts, one 10 mm nut.

TIGHTEN
^ Screws to 1.5 Nm (13 lb. in.).

2. IP assembly.
3. Aspirator hose, Antenna lead-in, four electrical connections.
4. Upper IP screws. Four 7 mm screws.
5. IP center support bracket bolts. Six 10 mm bolts.
6. Lower steering column. Two 13 mm bolts.
7. IP outer support bracket bolts. Six 10 mm bolts.
8. PRNDL cable from steering column. One clip.
9. Instrument Panel (IP) compartment tray (pull out).
10. Steering column filler plate.
11. Left and right center trim plates.
12. Air outlet deflectors (pry out).
13. Air temperature sensor.
14. Twilight sentinel photo cell.
15. Windshield defroster grill.

^ Enable Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system.
