Front WH Panel EXT (BATT Tray), Hold-DN Retainer & Heat Shield

Excessive battery movement reduces the life of a battery. The front wheelhouse panel extension (battery tray) and hold-down retainer are used to hold the battery securely. The battery tray should be in good condition so it will hold the battery securely and level.

A heat shield is also used to protect the battery from engine compartment heat.

The battery tray, hold-down retainer, and heat shield should be clean and free from debris and corrosion before installing the battery.
