Battery Replacement

Parasitic Draw Test:

NOTE: Always turn the ignition "OFF" when connecting or disconnecting battery cables, battery chargers or jumper cables. Failing to do so may damage the powertrain Control Module (PCM) or other electronic components.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Battery hold-down retainer.
2. Battery positive cable from battery.
3. Battery from vehicle.
4. Battery heat shield from battery.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

Refer to Service Precautions.

1. Battery heat shield to battery.
2. Battery to vehicle.
3. Battery positive cable to battery.
Tighten
^ Bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb. ft.).
4. Battery hold-down reservoir.
