Radiator: Service and Repair






REMOVAL
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Recover the A/C system. See Heating and Air Conditioning.
3. Drain and recover the cooling system.
4. Upper radiator hose.
5. Upper transaxle cooler line.
6. Coolant surge tank hose.
7. Condenser inlet fitting from discharge hose.
8. Lower transaxle cooler line.
9. Cooling fan electrical connection.
10. Raise vehicle.
11. Lower closeout panel.
12. Lower radiator hose from radiator.
13. Evaporator line from condenser outlet.
14. Lower radiator mounting panel.
15. Condenser/Radiator/Fan Assembly (CRFM) from vehicle.
16. Condenser from radiator.
17. Fan shroud from radiator.

INSTALLATION
1. Fan shroud to radiator.
2. Condenser to radiator. Tighten bolts to 5 Nm (44 inch lbs.).
3. CRFM to vehicle.
4. Lower radiator mounting panel. Tighten bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
5. Condenser outlet to evaporator line. Tighten bolt to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
6. Lower radiator hose to radiator.
7. Lower closeout panel.
8. Lower vehicle.
9. Cooling fan electrical connection.
10. Lower transaxle cooler line. Tighten fitting to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).
11. Condenser inlet fitting to discharge hose. Tighten nut to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
12. Coolant surge tank hose.
13. Upper transaxle cooler line. Tighten fitting to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).
15. Refill the cooling system.
16. Recharge the A/C system. See Heating and Air Conditioning.
17. Negative battery cable. Tighten bolt 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.). Inspect for leaks.
