Troubleshooting Hints

1. Check RH HDLP Fuse if both Headlamps on right side are inoperative.
2. Check LH HDLP Fuse if both Headlamps on left side are inoperative.
3. Check HTR A/C IGN Fuse if Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) are inoperative.
4. The Ignition Switch must he in the RUN position for Fog Lamps to operate.
5. Check FOG LPS Fuse if Fog Lamps are inoperative.
6. Refer to Exterior Lights for Electrical Diagnosis if Park Lamps are inoperative. Testing and Inspection
7. Verify that grounds G101, G201, and G204 are tight and clean.
8. If one Headlamp or Fog Lamp does not operate properly check lamp, connections, and wires to lamp.
9. If Automatic Lamp Control, Daytime Running Lamps or Fog Lamps are not functioning properly, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC'S) in Computer System Diagnosis for Possible DTCs set by the Body Function Controller (BFC) before preceding with diagnostics. Computers and Control Systems
^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system failure but prove GOOD in a continuity/voltage check (refer to General Troubleshooting Procedures).
^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems (refer to General Troubleshooting Procedures). Diagnostic Aids
