Vehicle Speed Sensor: Description and Operation

The Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) sends a pulsing voltage signal to the PCM which the PCM convents to miles per hour. This sensor mainly controls the operation of the TCC, shift solenoids, and cruise control systems. There are several different types of vehicle speed sensors.
