Component Tests and General Diagnostics

1. Check POWER WINDOWS Circuit Breaker.
2. If only the LF Power Window Switch operates windows, make sure that lockout switch is not engaged.
3. Check that ground G301 is clean and tight.
4. If a motor's internal circuit breaker trips, it will not reset until voltage is removed from the motor. Refer to Doors for door access. Doors, Hood and Trunk
^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system failure but prove GOOD in a continuity/voltage check (refer to General Troubleshooting Procedures).
^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems (refer to General Troubleshooting Procedures). Diagnostic Aids
