Troubleshooting Hints

1. Check TRUNK REL/RFA Fuse by visual inspection.
2. Check Rear Compartment Lid Release Motor for a good connection.
3. Verify Valet Mode Switch on Rear Compartment Lid Release Motor is in the OFF position.
4. Verify that the Transaxle Gear Selector is in PARK or NEUTRAL when operating Rear Compartment Lid Release.
5. Verify that grounds G102 and G401 are clean and tight.
6. If Trunk Release is only inoperable from Keyless Entry Transmitter, refer to Keyless Entry. Keyless Entry
^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system failure, but prove GOOD in a continuity/voltage check (Refer to Troubleshooting Procedures).
