Coolant Air Bleed Pipe Assembly Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

NOTICE: When adding coolant, it is important that you use GM Goodwrench DEX-COOL coolant. If coolant other than DEX-COOL is added to the system,, the engine coolant will require change. sooner: at 50 000 km (30,000 miles) or 24 , months.





1. Partially drain and recover the coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System.
2. Remove the air bleed pipe retaining bolt and nut.
3. Disconnect the hose clamp from the coolant tank hose.
4. Pull the pipe from the coolant outlet housing.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Connect the pipe to the coolant outlet housing.
2. Connect the hose clamp to the coolant tank hose.
3. Install the coolant air bleed pipe retaining bolt and nut.
^ Tighten bolt to 14 Nm (10 ft. lbs.).
^ Tighten the nut to 42 Nm (31 ft. lbs.).

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Refill the coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System.
