Scan Tool Data Definitions
The following information will assist in diagnosing Body Function Controller (BFC) problems. The technician can view the displays while the vehicle is being driven.The data messages displayed on the scan tool are divided into Module Information, Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to Body Function Controller (BFC) A/C Clutch Data, Data, Inputs, Outputs, Security Data, Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) Data and Body Function Controller (BFC) to Cluster Data lists.
Module Information contains the Body Function Controller (BFC) GM Part Number, the Calibration ID and the year the Body Function Controller (BFC) was built.
Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to Body Function Controller (BFC) A/C Clutch Data contains the A/C Clutch Data contains A/C Clutch data sent to the Body Function Controller (BFC) from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
Data contains general information regarding the Ambient Light Sensor, the Fuel Sender, the Low Beam Input, the High Beam Input and Battery Voltage.
Inputs contain general information regarding the A/C Request, Ambient Light Sensor, Driver Door Ajar Switch, Front Fog Lamp Switch, High Beam Feedback, Ignition 0 Input, Ignition 1 Input, Ignition 3 Input, Key In Ignition, Low Beam / DRL Feedback, Low Coolant Level, Park Brake Switch, Park Lamp Input, Passenger Door Ajar Switch, Passlock� Data, Seatbelt, Turn Signal Switch and Washer Fluid Level.
Outputs contain general information regarding the ALC Headlamp Relay, ALC Parklamp Relay, DRL Relay, Front Foglamp Relay, Interior Lamp Output, Inadvert. Power Output and Passlock� Power.
